About the Academy

The Academy of Arts for Enlightenment aims to fulfil the goals of artistic expression through an ‘inside out’ approach. We offer the essential knowledge and experience of the field of pure creativity in consciousness, which is the transcendental field of total knowledge and home of all the laws of Nature.

Maharishi Vedic Science and its practical aspect, the scientifically validated technology of Transcendental Meditation, are the tools which allow every artist to develop their creative potential and live all possibilities in daily life. The implications for the Arts are profound in breadth and depth, as reflected in the Academy’s unique mission:

The Academy’s Mission

The Academy of Arts for Enlightenment is a global educational organization representing the full revitalization of the Arts in tune with Natural Law through Maharishi Vedic Science. We serve as a platform to inspire all involved in the Arts – visual arts and crafts, design disciplines, music, performing arts and writing arts – in the knowledge and experience of unbounded bliss consciousness. By representing the total knowledge of Natural Law in the Arts, we aim to fulfil the goals of creative expression for health and enlightenment to every artist, coherent collective consciousness, cultural integrity, and embellish the world with beauty, peace and heaven on earth.

Ten Goals

1. Outreach to all involved in arts and culture, in order to increase awareness of Maharishi Vedic Science and the Transcendental Meditation technique and their value for unfolding full creative potential, improving health and wellbeing, and generating social coherence. (See Research)
2. Providing a global forum for artists, lovers of arts and culture, and others who support the arts, to present a united voice for enlightenment in the arts.
3. Advancing new principles in arts and culture for the 21^st century, through the Academy website (ArtsForEnlightenment.org), social media and an academic Journal.
4. Presenting all Arts disciplines in the light of total knowledge – online courses, retreats, lectures and seminars – as well as promoting existing Consciousness Based Art Education programmes and events offered through Maharishi International University, David Lynch Foundation and other Maharishi educational institutions throughout the world.
5. Participating in Arts and culture conferences and exhibitions to present our message of arts for enlightenment.
6. Inspiring Consciousness-Based art guilds to uphold skills and best practice, guided by enlightened masters of the arts.
7. Recognizing excellence in Consciousness-Based arts through the presentation of awards to individuals and organizations.
8. Raising consciousness across the spectrum of the arts and inspiring a tidal wave of enlightened artistic expression, to embellish and beautify our world.
9. Promoting Festivals of Music and Arts for World Peace to purify collective consciousness through Maharishi Gandharva Veda music, Maharishi Vastu architecture and Vedic Dance – Celebrating the rise of cultural integrity, peace and invincibility to all nations.
10. Revitalizing the Arts in tune with Veda, the eternal Constitution of the Universe, the total potential of Natural Law, which will place the Arts at the centre of society, vibrant with bliss consciousness, and fulfil the goals of all artistic expression.

The Academy of Arts for Enlightenment acknowledges all Institutions and leaders dedicated to the Arts from all over the world. All efforts to uphold and promote the Arts are a vital contribution to the wellbeing of society.

I am pleased to extend an invitation to all leaders and Institutions of Arts and Culture – indeed to all involved in the Arts – from creatives to educators and philanthropists:

You are cordially invited to consider in depth, the knowledge of Maharishi Vedic Science contained in these pages, which develops the creative potential of both heart and mind, improves physical health, and increases social coherence and collective peace by bringing life in tune with Natural Law.

For over 60 years, our affiliated organizations have implemented Consciousness-Based educational and health programmes all over the world, in hundreds of schools, corporations, prisons, and impoverished areas of society with consistent, notable success. Our global network extends to thousands of teaching Centres in over 150 countries.

My colleagues and I are ready to speak with all leaders of Arts and Culture from any country and answer all questions, and we will be pleased to arrange a presentation for any organization upon request.
