• ‘Maharishi’ – With reference to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of Transcendental Meditation and the TM-Sidhi programmes; Maharishi Vedic Science; Maharishi International University in the United States; Maharishi Foundation, UK., and the Global Country of World Peace. The word, ‘Maharishi’ in Sanskrit, means ‘great seer’ – one who ‘sees’ or has self-realised wholeness of life, and makes available the knowledge of how to live wholeness of life to everyone in the world. In his lifetime, Maharishi revived the ancient Vedic knowledge and reformulated it in this scientific age known as, Maharishi Vedic Science.
